We have been exporting Land Rovers to the USA since 1991- and one of the "Most requested" vehicles is a 110 5 door County Station Wagon. For most of this time, it was not possible to import them, as they were "too new" - and in the last couple of years since the very early examples have been eligible - It has been difficult to find GOOD examples that do not need completely rebuilding.

Obviously, there are companies out there who will promise to "rebuild you one like new", with the latest engine and gearbox etc etc - but one has to question how much of the original vehicle (if any) you would be getting - and are these vehicles going to be considered "100% legal" in the event of an accident ?

What we have here, is a unique opportunity to buy a 100% original, 100% legal to be imported 1983 - 110 County Station Wagon - Probably (almost certainly) the best available for sale anywhere in the world today.

The best way to describe the condition, is to say that it is what I would expect to see, if we had a time machine and could travel back in time to 1985 / '86 - and buy a 2 or 3 year old 110 with 40,000 careful miles on the clock !

The restoration of older Land Rovers became popular, as original examples became more and more difficult to find.

The Series III was introduced late in 1971, and tax exempt qualification runs to the end of December 1972 - so there is only approx 21 months of Series III production that qualifies for free road fund licence.

This example is one of those - But not only that, it is in totally original and unspoilt condition, having covered just 42,700 miles with 3 Cheshire based owners over its 39 year life.

"Lucille" is a genuine 7 seater station wagon (4 x individual rear seats will be refitted prior to sale) that we have known since 1999, when we bought her from the original owners "Radio Trent". At that time she had covered 16,000 miles. She was subsequently sold, and has just returned to us.

The chassis and bulkhead are rust free - with no structural issues at all. Mechanically, she starts runs and drives exactly as you would expect of a Land Rover with such low miles. There is an overdrive, which is slightly noisy, but worth having.

Cosmetically, as you can see the panel work is excellent with no damage, and the interior is very clean and original. The 4 x individual rear seats are present and can be fitted (with belts) if required.

New parabolic springs and radial tyres give a good ride.
